Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 chopped onion
    5 to 6 large garlic cloves
    12 oz. can tomato paste
    1 lb. 12 oz. can crushed tomatoes
    1 tsp. crushed sweet basil
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. fennel seed
    6 c. hot water
Preparation
    Saute onion.
    Stir in tomato paste and garlic, basil, parsley, fennel seed, salt and pepper.
    After a few minutes, stir in crushed tomatoes.
    Then you put in boiling water.
    When it comes to a boil, lower heat and let cook for 3 hours or to desired thickness.
