Sloppy Joes With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 small red or green pepper, chopped
    1 c. barbecue sauce
    1 1/2 c. rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, onion and pepper in skillet.
    Drain.
    Stir in barbecue sauce.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Meanwhile, bring water and salt to boil.
    Stir in rice. Cover; remove from heat.
    Let stand for 5 minutes.
    Serve meat over rice.
    Garnish with shredded Cheddar cheese, if desired.
