Holiday (Fruit) Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. chopped pecans
1 c. flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 250\u00b0.
Cream the butter with the sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture. Add vanilla and almond.
Dredge fruit and nuts with 1 cup flour.
Add to first mixture. Bake for 3 hours.
Makes a large cake.
