Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 ripe bananas, mashed
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour, soda, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl.
    Add shortening, bananas, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Stir in pecans.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan or two round cake pans. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes if in layers or 35 minutes if in a rectangular pan.
