Ingredients

3 Tbsp. rice
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 qt. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Wash rice thoroughly.
Add the other ingredients and pour into a greased baking dish.
Bake from 1 1/2 to 2 hours in a slow oven (250\u00b0 to 350\u00b0), stirring several times.
The mixture should not boil.
Serve hot or cold.
