Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 gal. catsup
    6 lb. brown sugar
    1/8 c. salt
    2/3 lb. oleo
    pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. garlic juice
    4 oz. can barbecue spice (French's)
Preparation
    Melt sugar in 1 1/2 quarts of water; add salt, pepper, garlic juice and oleo.
    Let come to boil; add barbecue spice and catsup. Boil 15 minutes more.
    If too thick, add more water.
    Makes 2 gallons.
