Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. Crisco oil
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 c. creamed corn
    1 pinch red pepper
Preparation
    Mix together cornmeal, buttermilk and eggs.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Stir together.
    Pour into greased iron skillet and bake in 350\u00b0
    oven for 1 hour.
