New England Squash Pie - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. butternut squash
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 egg
1 3/4 c. evaporated milk
1 unbaked pie shell
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt, spices and egg.
Add to squash.
Add evaporated milk to this.
Pour squash mixture into pie shell. Bake at 400\u00b0 until knife comes out clean, approximately 45 to 50 minutes.
