Marinated 4 Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can cut green beans, drained
    1 (1 lb.) can cut wax beans, drained
    1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans, drained
    1 (1 lb.) can chickpeas, drained (garbanzo beans)
    1 small red onion, sliced and cut into strips
    3/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine
    sugar,
    vinegar,
    oil,
    salt and pepper.
    Pour over vegetables and onion.
    Toss several times while chilling. Best
    if served after refrigerating overnight.
    Can be kept in refrigerator at least a week.
