Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    boiling water
    butter (size of egg)
    3 heaping c. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. yellow vinegar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    5 large apples, peeled and chopped
Preparation
    In a 7 x 11-inch pan, fill less than 1/4 full of boiling water and add butter.
    Add sugar, cinnamon and vinegar.
    Set aside.
