Chocolate Fudge Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted, or 4 Tbsp. cocoa
    3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine melted chocolate, sugar, syrup, salt and milk. Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook to soft-ball stage. Remove from heat; add butter and cool until just warm. Add vanilla and beat until spreading consistency. Frost lightly between layers and top and sides of cake.
