4 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. lukewarm water
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. milk
3/4 c. Crisco (do not use oil)
1 2/3 c. sugar
2 level Tbsp. salt
14 c. plain flour
4 eggs
Preparation

Dissolve dry yeast and sugar in water. Scald milk; add Crisco, sugar, salt, and flour. Stir in flour mixture (about 4 cups at a time); beat. Add eggs and beat. Add yeast mixture; knead well. Place in greased pan and cover. Let rise; knead again. Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut doughnuts and place on greased paper until they double in size. Fry in deep fat.
