Mom'S Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 Tbsp. peach jello*
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 baked and cooled pie crust
    1 carton Cool Whip or whipped cream
Preparation
    Mix ingredients and bring to boil. Remove from heat and cool. (I put pan and all in freezer for 20 to 25 minutes.) Add 2 cups fresh peaches (if available), partially drained, to cooled mixture. Pour into cooled crust and top with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
