Jet Age Gnocches(Potato Dumplings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. water
2 to 3 c. sifted flour
instant mashed potatoes for 4 servings
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Bring water and salt to a boil.
Remove from heat; stir in instant potatoes.
Gradually stir in enough flour to form a soft dough.
Turn out dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
Shape dough into ropes about 1/2 inch in diameter. Cut pieces in oval shapes.
Drop a few at a time into large kettle of boiling salted water.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Remove from water with slotted spoon.
Keep gnocchi hot.
Serve with any sauce, butter or cheese.
