Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    several green tomatoes
    1 c. cornmeal, with salt and pepper
    4 to 5 Tbsp. margarine or olive oil
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes into 1/2-inch thick slices. Dip tomato slices in milk. Coat both sides of tomato in cornmeal mixture.
    Lightly shake off excess.
    Heat margarine or olive oil on medium to high heat. Fry tomatoes on both sides until golden brown.
    Place on plate with paper towel.
