Texas Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. unbroken pecans
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla or coconut flavor
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Line pie pan with your favorite pastry.
    Arrange pecans over pastry.
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Add remaining ingredients, beating well.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell over the pecans and bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes; then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool.
    Makes one 9-inch pie.
