Rhubarb Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 to 4 c. diced rhubarb
    1/2 c. orange marmalade
Preparation
    Cover rhubarb with boiling water.
    Immediately drain.
    Stir marmalade through rhubarb and set aside.
    Mix remaining ingredients and pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread rhubarb-marmalade mixture over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until browned.
    Frost with powdered sugar icing if desired.
