Conga Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. margarine (1 stick plus 2 2/3 Tbsp.)
    1 lb. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    3/4 c. broken walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Set oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream the margarine.
    Add the sugar gradually. Add one egg at a time, beating constantly. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add a little at a time.
    Beat in vanilla, chocolate and nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Bake for 45 minutes.
    Cool before cutting. Makes 24 to 30 pieces.
