Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 can poppy seed filling or 1 1/2 c. jam
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Mix in flour and baking powder.
Chill dough 20 minutes.
