Pecan Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix the butter, brown sugar and egg.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Drop dough by teaspoon, about 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheet.
    Dough will spread.
    Bake for 11 to 13 minutes, or until set.
    Yields 3 dozen Chewies.
