Beef Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/4 to 1/2 c. flour
4 Tbsp. oil
2 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
1 onion, diced
2 potatoes, diced
1 carrot, sliced
Preparation

Roll beef cubes in flour and slowly brown in oil in heavy pan. Brown and keep scratching all the \"crunchy\" from bottom of pan. Add water.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer until tender.
Add onion, potatoes and carrot.
More water may be added if needed. Thicken gravy with cornstarch and water if desired.
