Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks oleo
    4 eggs, separated
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream oleo and sugar.
    Add egg yolks.
    Mix flour and soda. Add to shortening.
    Mix alternately with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla, nuts and coconut.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Beat 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Put in 2 or 3 (9-inch) pans.
