Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1/2 ??? light brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 beaten egg
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. lemon rind, grated
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter, add sugar, egg, lemon juice and rind.
Mix well. Add dry ingredients and nuts.
Mix well.
Form into a roll about 2 inches in diameter; wrap in wax paper and chill in refrigerator until ready for use.
Slice and bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 10 to 12 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Makes 4 dozen.
