Barbara Poe'S Broccoli Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick butter
    1 medium onion
    1 large head fresh broccoli or 1 large bag frozen
    3/4 c. milk
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1 c. cooked white rice
Preparation
    Saute chopped onion in butter.
    (If you use onion powder, you do not need to saute with the butter.)
    Steam the broccoli while cooking the rice.
    Mix in a large bowl: onion, rice and broccoli. Add the milk and the soup and continue to stir well. When well mixed, pour into large Pyrex dish.
    Spread cheese and bread crumbs on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
