Barley Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1 c. barley
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 pkg. dry onion soup
2 c. chicken broth
1 c. sliced mushrooms, drained (keep liquid)
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts and/or bamboo shoots
Preparation

Heat margarine in saucepan.
Add barley, onion and mushrooms until golden.
Add almonds, dry soup and chicken broth.
Add water chestnuts and mushroom liquid.
Stir well and place into baking dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
