My Aunt Evelyn'S Funny Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    ??? c. milk
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (1 lb.) can fruit cocktail, well drained
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large mixing bowl.
    Combine beaten eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Mix only until blended.
    Stir in well drained fruit cocktail.
    Fry a few teaspoons of batter in hot oil (365\u00b0) for about 3 minutes.
    Before serving, dust with powdered sugar.
    Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
