Never Fail Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 2/3 c. scalded milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    shell for 9-inch pie
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Beat eggs slightly with rotary beater. Add remaining ingredients, beating until thoroughly mixed.
    Pour into pastry-lined pie pan.
    Place on cookie sheet.
    Bake for 15 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from side of rim comes out clean.
    The center may look soft, but will set later.
    Cooking too long makes a watery custard and soggy crust.
