Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. sour milk
3 c. pastry or soft wheat flour, presifted
3/4 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. California walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Mix egg, sugar and sour milk.
Mix well.
Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Sift dry ingredients into egg mixture.
Add nuts.
Beat thoroughly.
Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour. (Sweet milk may be used instead of sour milk.
If sweet milk is used, omit the baking soda and increase the baking powder to 6 teaspoons.)
