Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 Red Delicious apples, cut up and unpeeled
    1 can chunk pineapple, drained (save juice)
    1 c. pecans, chopped or whole
    3 to 4 slices American cheese, cut up (optional)
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    juice from pineapple
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Mix fruits, nuts and cheese together in a salad bowl.
    Combine sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
    Pour over apple salad mixture while hot.
    Refrigerate overnight.
