Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter or margarine
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually.
    Cream well; add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add milk and flour.
    Sift with salt and soda, measuring flour after sifting.
    Grease and flour tube pan.
    Pour well-beaten batter into pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until done (toothpick comes out clean).
    Cake keeps moist for several days.
    Yield:
    20 to 30 servings.
