Bacon And Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/3 c. bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0. Cut shortening into flour, baking powder and salt until crumbly. Stir in cheese and bacon. Add milk to make a ball of dough. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently 10 times. Pat dough into a round about 1/2-inch thick. Cut biscuits and place on a greased cookie sheet about 1/2-inch apart. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 12.
