Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening or 1 stick butter or 1/4 c. oil
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour (plain, all-purpose)
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. English walnuts, toasted
    2 large bananas
    1/4 c. buttermilk or sour cream
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of nutmeg
    1/4 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Mash two big bananas with fork and cover with about 1/4 cup orange juice.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Combine bananas and buttermilk.
    Add dry ingredients gradually.
    Mix well.
    Bake in greased and floured pan for 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
