Seven Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. stew meat
    1/2 pkg. small onions (whole) or 1 large onion, chopped
    2 carrots, diced
    1 c. tomato juice
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) can peas (juice and all)
    1 can beef consomme (undiluted)
    1/4 c. white wine
    2 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
    1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place in oven (covered) and bake 7 hours at 250\u00b0.
