Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. rolled oats
3 c. flour
2 large pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. nuts
Preparation

Beat together shortening, butter and sugar about 5 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add vanilla and lemon juice.
Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
Stir in chips and nuts.
Drop large tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 16 to 18 minutes.
Cool on wire rack.
