Chocolate Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
dash of salt
1 1/2 c. milk
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2/3 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan.
Add milk and chocolate.
Bring mixture to a full boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add butter or margarine and stir until it is melted and frosting is smooth.
While still warm, spread on cake. Decorate with coarsely chopped nuts.
Makes enough frosting to cover tops and sides of two 9-inch layers.
