Ranger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/3 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
    1 c. pitted dates, chopped, or 1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Set oven to 375\u00b0.
    Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    In bowl, beat butter for 30 seconds.
    Add sugars; beat until fluffy.
    Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
    Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture; beat until well mixed.
    Stir in cereal, coconut and fruit.
    Drop by teaspoon, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool 1 minute before removing to wire rack.
    Makes 48.
