Caddo Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. small green tomatoes
    1 1/2 c. each chopped onion and bell pepper
    2 c. white vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat liquid ingredients to a boil; add remaining ingredients. Simmer on low until tomatoes turn gray.
    (Do not boil.)
    Seal in sterile jars.
    Makes 6 pints.
