Strawberry Gelatin Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (11 oz.) can Mandarin oranges
1/2 c. sugar
1 envelope plain gelatin
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. sour cream
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 banana, sliced
1/3 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. strawberries, sliced
Preparation

Drain oranges, reserving syrup.
Add enough water to syrup to make 3/4 cup.
Combine sugar and gelatin.
Add syrup and orange and lemon juices.
Heat over medium heat until gelatin is dissolved.
Gradually stir half of the mixture into the eggs. Return to heat and cook, stirring constantly for 2 minutes or until thickened.
Remove from heat; add sour cream and cream cheese.
Beat until smooth.
Chill until partially set.
Fold in fruit and nuts.
Chill in an 8 x 8-inch casserole dish until firm.
