Date And Pineapple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/3 c. shortening, melted
    1 c. dates, chopped
    9 oz. crushed pineapple
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    3 c. sifted flour (if not presifted)
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine milk, egg, shortening, dates, pineapple and nuts. Sift remaining ingredients together; add to first mixture.
    Blend only to moisten.
    Bake in 1 pound greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
