Yalonchee Yaprakh(Lenten Dish; Spinach And Grape Leaves) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. onions
    3/4 c. rice
    1 bunch parsley, chopped
    1 can tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (1 lb.) jar grape leaves
    1 pkg. chopped frozen spinach
    3/4 c. oil
    2 cloves garlic
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 lemons (juice)
Preparation
    Saute minced onions and garlic in hot oil until slightly browned.
    Add rice, thawed spinach and parsley to onions and garlic.
    Saute for 3 minutes.
    Blend in tomato paste and spices. When cooled, roll rice mixture in grape leaves and arrange in layers in pot.
    Add lemon juice to 3 cups of water; add to grape leaves.
    Place a heavy plate on top of grape leaves.
    Bring to a boil; simmer for 45 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
    Drain water off.
    Serve hot or cold.
