Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. chopped squash (about 4 lb.)
    4 c. chopped onions (about 1 1/2 lb.)
    1 c. chopped bell pepper (1 large)
    1/2 c. chopped hot pepper (about 5 large)
    3 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar (5%)
    1/2 Tbsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Mix squash, onions, bell pepper, hot pepper and salt; set overnight.
    Rinse in 2 water baths.
    Mix sugar, vinegar, nutmeg, turmeric, celery salt and black pepper.
    Boil both mixtures together for 20 minutes.
    Put in hot jars.
