Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. All-Bran
    1/2 c. oleo
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1`/2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over All-Bran.
    Let stand until cool.
    Cream together oleo and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with 1 3/4 cups buttermilk.
    Add the bran mix, then add 2 more cups dry All-Bran. Mix well.
    Cover.
    Refrigerate 24 hours.
    Do not stir!
    Fill muffin cups 1/2 full.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Mixture will keep 5 weeks.
    Makes 1/2 gallon.
    May add nuts, raisins and currants.
