Lentil Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 2 carrots, peeled and chopped or sliced
3 to 4 celery tops or 1 stalk, sliced
1 c. water
2 c. chicken broth
1 large or 2 small garlic cloves, chopped or sliced
1 small onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 to 1 c. lentil beans, cleaned and washed
1 tsp. parsley
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Place all ingredients in large saucepan.
Add water and chicken broth.
(May need to add more water or broth to cover vegetables.)
Bring to the boil and simmer 25 to 45 minutes or until vegetables and beans are tender.
