Eggplant Tava - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground lean beef
    28 oz. can Italian tomatoes (juice reserved)
    1/4 c. tomato paste, divided
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. ground allspice
    1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
    1 tsp. salt (if desired)
    2 or 3 cloves garlic, crushed
    2 medium eggplants (unpeeled)
    a little oil for rubbing
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Mix ground meat with 1/2 cup of the juice from the tomatoes and 2 teaspoons of the tomato paste.
    Add onion, green pepper, allspice, pepper, salt and garlic.
    Mix well and set aside.
