Apple Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 1/2 c. thinly sliced apples
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Make dough with flour, shortening and milk.
    Refrigerate to chill.
    Heat sugar, margarine, vanilla and water until mixture boils; pour into large baking dish.
    Roll out dough on floured surface; sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
    Place apples on dough; roll up like jelly roll.
    Slice and place in hot liquid. Bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is brown.
