Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. nuts
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 bananas, mashed
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 stick margarine
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with bananas, blending well after each addition.
    Stir in nuts.
    Pour into 2 well-greased loaf pans (9 1/2 x 5 x 3-inch).
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until done.
    Remove from pan and cool on rack.
    Makes 2 loaves.
