Walnut Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with bananas, blending well after each addition.
    Stir in nuts. Pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 45 to 50 minutes or until done.
    Remove from pan; cool on rack.
    Wrap and store overnight.
