M & M Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) pkg. M & M's plain or peanut candies
    1 c. margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Coarsely chop 1 1/2 cups candies; reserve remaining for decorations.
    Beat together margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.
    Blend in eggs and vanilla.
    Add combined flour, soda and salt; mix well.
    Stir in chopped candies and nuts.
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 to 11 minutes.
    Remove from oven.
    Immediately press 3 reserved candies on top of each.
    Cool.
