Farmer'S Bread With Ham, Cheese And White Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 thick slices farmer's bread, toasted
    8 slices ham
    1 1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
    1 can white sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Arrange 8 slices of farmer's bread on cookie sheet.
    Cover farmer's bread with 2 slices each of ham; top with 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese.
    Salt and pepper all 8 slices.
    Close sandwiches.
    Spoon white sauce over each sandwich.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Broil for 4 minutes in oven until bubbly. Serve at once.
    Makes 4 servings.
