Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground steak, cut in strips
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 medium onions, cut in strips lengthwise
    2 bell peppers, cut in strips
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    fluffy rice
Preparation
    Brown steak in shortening about 10 minutes or until tender. Add soy sauce and water.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Add onions. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add bell peppers; cook until tender. Thicken with cornstarch.
    Serve over steamed rice.
    If desired, fresh mushrooms or bean sprouts may be added.
